June was a stormy month in Mangawhai, we had lots of overcast days, rain and storms, we even had a tornado! However, we still did have a some sunny days. Below are a few of those moments.
Sentinel
June saw the end of the year long +10 stop ND challenge that I have been doing with Marina Mathews. If you have been following our year long challenge you will have seen this image before. The theme for the final month was 'leading lines'. You can read more about the 12 month challenge that we set ourselves and see my images from the entire year here.
Light on the Falls
After a stormy few days and some good rain, Gerard and I decided to check out some of the Northland waterfalls in the region. We ventured as far north as Whangarei and checked out the Whangarei Falls. We timed it right to catch the sun beaming its way across the top of the falls.
Streaming after Rain
We didn't even get close to this waterfall. Where you normally cross the stream was a raging, murky torrent! It was still very impressive and great to see the power of nature and get a more wild shot.
