When one of us tested positive for omicron, we decided not to isolate from each other figuring we had both been exposed to the same people over multiple days so there was a high chance that we would both get it. However, throughout the 10 days only one of us tested positive, while the other remained negative and symptom free.
Being the lucky one that was symptom free, I decided to keep occupied during our self-isolation by setting myself a photography project. Being restricted to home and not being able to visit the surrounding landscape, I focussed on exploring in-camera multiple exposure techniques with an abstract flavour.
Choosing the circle as my base shape (because we were 'circling' round each other and the same routine for 10 days!) I wandered round the house with my camera hunting circles and looking at everyday objects a little differently!
I found the most satisfying images were from some jars I set up on the kitchen bench. Sitting down to edit I layered up some of the images in photoshop and explored different blend modes to see how the images changed and the different effects I could create. The possibilities were endless! Eventually, though, a story revealed itself which you can see in the 10 images below.
